Fantastic! We have a road in Victoria County where I was a Sherriff's Deputy and everyone would call it "185 at Bois De Arc" road. It gave me fits every time I heard it. "It is pronounced "Bodark" road!" LOL!
Osage Orange, Bois de Arc, Horse Apple, Coon Apple, whatever you want to call it, it is beautiful wood. There were a bunch of HUGE trees at the back of our PT field at the 101'st that it would take four people to link hands to get around. Last I heard the base sent folks out there to cut them down and remove the stumps. What a crying shame to lose those trees.

They look great Zane! I’ll try to figure out how to post pictures when I get the Bisley put back together. They’ll definitely be the best looking part of my old beater 45.
As a waterfowl call maker I use Bois d’arc extensively… it is my favorite tone wood for duck calls. So when I heard Zane had some I jumped at the chance. It just seems fitting to use that for grip panels on my Ruger. Ain’t many things can dull a saw blade like a good bois d’arc board!

One of my self bows was made from Osage orange with a green sturgeon skin backing. A beautiful piece of art that really shot a cedar or heavy fir arrow well!

Oh wow. I never really liked orange Osage for grips until I saw these. That’s really nice, Zane.
