This isn't helping, LOL. I'm struggling with the 45 Schofield Cylinder.
I know the blued cylinder will be extremely strong. Outside walls will be .095-.098" and as a 5-Shot it will be more than sufficient.
But, my brain keeps going towards that 17-4 Stainless.
Too many options, too little money...

Oh, I definitely listen...
Gun will be built in a traditional style. But, operate at more modern pressures.
After have a 480 Ruger built on a Midframe Flattop Frame years ago, I'm convinced of it's strength.
When Ruger decided (with good reason) not to build the 44 Magnum on the Midframe years ago, talk started.
But, there's a lot of difference between a mass production 6-Shot and a hand fitted Custom 5-Shot.
I've considered a 5-Shot 44 Magnum on the Midframe Flattop a few times. But, always end up going with the retro cartridges...
