I have one for my 329pd and it's great. You will forget your carrying it and yes it hides under a jacket well and in a pinch my 1911 10mm fits too. Won't ever be without one.

Another recommendation for the Simply Rugged Chesty Puller System. It definitely allows for a one hand grip. Also, it connects to any of their pancake style holsters. ![](https://i.postimg.cc/kBVb8GSZ/1-EE427-D4-F276-4134-81-A3-4245-A8-AF22-E7.jpg)

I think the Chesty Puller rig is designed for men of a certain girth. I couldn't keep it from slipping off my shoulder or trying to spill my pistol while field stripping a deer. Comfortable, but not the right choice for me while working.
I do have a nice EPS Tanker, bought for the .41 BH I sent to TGW, but haven't used it yet. Seems like a quality piece.

I have a Wyoming Combo holster by Von Ringler for a similar style holster that handles my FA 475 very well. I like how you can toss in in the passenger seat of the truck and jump out and toss it over your head and your in business. ringlercustomleather.com/shop/ols/products/wyoming-combination-holsterThe other cool part of the combo holster is if you don’t want to wear it over your shoulder you can snap it around your waist like a gun belt and it works perfectly fine. I honestly have never used mine as a gun belt before always just tossing it over the shoulder. Now it is a bit bulky and heavy but it works very well. How well would it work without securing to a waistbelt?

I don't have the Tanker holster but I recently found an El Paso Saddlery Doc Holliday holster for a 4 3/4" Colt/USFA that I plan on trying when I go riding next. Embarrassed to say I had to look up images of the holster being worn to see where all the straps were meant to go. Thankfully Val Kilmer has lots of pictures on the net showing the holster in use.

That EPS Doc Holiday is also an outstanding rig. I have an extra one for a 5-1/2" Blackhawk in excellent condition that I'd let go of, if anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.

If I bought that holster, then since I don't own a Blackhawk in 5.5", I'd have to go get one to match it! Seriously though, how tight is it on a Blackhawk? Would it squeeze in a BFR? Might be interested for my 500L bfr.

Mine is for an N-frame and I do like the easy on and off and no weight on belt. Great in a truck etc........

I don't know a better way to conceal my 7.5" Super Blackhawk than the EPS Tanker under an open vest.
I've had it for 10 years now and used it quite a bit in the field. I almost never strap it to my belt. If I was on horseback or anticipating a quick draw situation I probably would. I love just being able to swing it on over my shoulder and go. I almost always grab it when already carrying and wanting a 2nd gun.
Mine is made for the 7.5 SBH but I've stuffed several different things in there. Old Army, Flattop Blackhawk, you name it

I honestly don't know? I currently live a BFR free lifestyle. You're missing a great gun. Don't care for the long cylinders, but being able to take a 500 Linebaugh safely to 50,000psi or 357mag to Casull levels pretty much shows the long cylinder rounds aren't necessary. It's big, but I don't pack them except when I may need it or am hunting. Daily work gun is either a service six or 4-5/8" 45 Colt Blackhawk.

The gun flipped all around and was never where I wanted It or comfortable. Also to quite honest it wasn’t the best quality or craftsmanship!!!! As stated maybe it works for larger girthed people better like the designer of that system. Save your money and get a Northwest Hunter from Barranti. I have one and it’s awesome. The strap is wide and padded and very comfortable to carry all day with my 7.5” SBH. barrantileather.com/shop/ols/search?keywords=Northwest%20hunter&sortOption=descend_by_match

That Chesty Puller doesn't stay in place on me either. That's with a 59" chest.
