Most of us have had one of those experiences where we were in the right place at just the right time. The minute the guy behind the counter lays out the early flat top in the gun case with the $400 price tag, the moment we walk in the Sportsman's Warehouse just to see the clerk stocking the shelves with canisters of H-110 or other moments like this.
I had one of those moments yesterday when checking the S&W forum. I opened the Classified section for accessories and happened to just see when a member posted a WTS for a set of N frame square but grips by the late Deacon Deason! No only were the grips full of figure but they were checkered in a Fleur di Lis pattern! Not the cheapest grips but in line with a set of original Cokes so I grabbed them. I have decided to incorporate grip makers in my gun quest and thus am always watching for grips by grip artists, especially those who are no longer with us. I think these will work great on the 4 screw 4" model 29 I recently found. I am not smart enough to know how to grab the photos from the S&W site and spot them here but once I get them I will put a couple of pictures up.
