Nice! Bore Tech C4 carbon remover is what I use.

460 receives no love here. I'll not ever own one either but do appreciate the speed thing. What are typical velocities with Factory ammo?

I see you have a whitetails unlimited Indiana edition. I have a bone collector edition. www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/archive-model-460xvr-bone-collectorRecoil not bad. Muzzle blast noticable. I like it; but haven't shot it near as much as anticipated due to some wrist issues. What do you plan to shoot with it? I bought mine for two reasons. First, thought it was cool. Second, thought it might enable me to extend my reach a bit on whitetails over the .44 mag I shoot too.

I really just wanted something to represent my home state. Thanks for the reply.

I learned something about the X frame Smith & Wessons this week. There are two different sizes of compensators, a shorter one that is flush with the end of the muzzle and a longer one that extends past. Your gun has the longer compensator which is intended for cast bullets, and the other is to be used with jacketed bullets.

Curious how holes in a barrel act differently? Theory of operation lives in my head.

The cast bullet compensator is intended to protect bystanders or other shooters at a range from lead fragments spitting out to the side.
