I don't usually ask about values but what have I got here? It's a Winchester 1892 Trapper in .357. Can't seem to find much info anywhere...

It's already upstairs....
I've had it for a couple months and have been wondering about it.
It feels super cool coming to the shoulder with that 18" barrel.
Got it from my Dad....

Getting it from your Dad is better than buying one for twenty bucks
and there's no bids on that older one cuz it's two grand!

That rear sight kind of looks like one Winchester put on a NRA Centennial Musket Commemorative a bunch of years ago . Wonder if Pops did some parts swappin to get what he wanted ?

There seems to be more info out there on the one with a 20" barrel. I did find this and the sight that's on mine is shown. www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8aDxJupIz8Not real informative....

My brother picked up a 16" Ranger version with a standard loop years ago for $325 as I recall, (passed on a 44 mag, and 45 colt of the same gun for the same price at the time). He has used the heck out of it as a ranch gun, shot a pile of doe mule deer and a couple Texas piggies with it as well. Fun, practical, lever gun that is more powerful than you might imagine being just a 357 rifle. His like the 173gr Keith bullet run pretty hard, just saying...
