Anyone have one they want to turn loose?
I am looking for one with a 20" round barrel, JM stamped, cross bolt safety is ok.

THE WHAT HAVE 'EM, KEEP .EM. MY TRAPPER .45 IS THE MOST ACCURATE PISTOL-CALIBER CARBINE I HAVE.

I've got a JM Octagon Barrel Cowboy. But, as JT said, not for sale.
Do wish you the best in finding one. Hope we start seeing some from Ruger before long...

I really hope they start making them again. I bought one in .41 magnum back when they offered that caliber and wish I'd gotten one in .45 too.

I have two 44 magnums, two 357 magnums, 3 45 Colts and am kicking myself every day for not getting one in 41 magnum when I had the chance. Good luck on your quest. I would like to see Ruger bring one out in 327 Federal / 32 HR Magnum.

I think we are all looking forward to Ruger re-energizing the Marlin brand with solid product offerings.
I can find Remlin 1894's in 45 Colt for sale, but want to avoid quality issue by getting a JM version. I understand that Remington eventually figured out how to get a good lever action produced after X number of "lesser' quality ones were made. I don't know the serial number range to avoid. So, I am sticking to a JM version.
Most of the ones available are the cowboy configuration with an octagonal barrel. I am partial to the standard round barrel.

I have the octagon barreled Marlin in 45 Colt. It' a really fine rifle, but there is one thing wrong with it. Marlin gave it a 1 in 38 twist which is WAY too slow for the longer heavier bullets. On the other hand my Winchester 94 Trapper in the same caliber with a 1 in 20 something twist shoots circles around the Marlin. Marlin has/had a bad problem with doing this and the reason is probably from using twists from the old BP days. There wonderful 444 Marlin suffered from this until only recently where they sped the twist up. Hopefully Ruger will make it right.

I would like to see Ruger bring one out in 327 Federal / 32 HR Magnum. SEVERAL YEARS AGO I WAS IN BOISE GUN AND PICKED UP A SLIGHTLY USED .44 MARLIN OFF THE RACK. LOOKED CLOSER AND THE ".44" WAS A ".41"--GRABBED IT REAL QUICKLY!

I have one w the short 16" round barrel, and sorry, no it's not for sale.
Along with the slow twist rate barrel, the 45s also tend to have very generous chambers. If I shoot light Unique loads, the cases come out all black because the brass just doesn't expand enough to seal the chamber. Hotter loads, even with Unique, will show much less powder marks and full house Ruger loads shoot real good. Real nice carry gun; light and short.

My Winchester Trapper has a very large chamber. Too bad, otherwise it would be about a perfect rifle. My Marlin Cowboy on the other hand has a tight chamber. Too bad it has such a slow twist. Oh it's okay up to 100 yards or so, after that the groups open up pretty much compared to the trapper.

Like a good Marlin and hoping for a 41 Mag from Ruger... until then what is the opinion of the Henry Side gate rifles and Carbines? One of my LGS has plenty of them.

I would love to see a 357 max in a lever from ruger. Not holding my breath though.
