Here's a set of crotch figured walnut that Carl Schultz did for me. I added them to one of my 401 Bobcats and finally snapped photos: I'm really pleased with the grain and matte finish. Carl's grips are little thicker than stock, especially at the top. Like Cary Chapman's, they fit my hand just right. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Got to love that walnut! I like grips that are thicker, too! The catchers mitts I wear make shooting guns like the Bearcat and "The Earl" quite difficult...accuracy is near impossible.

Outstanding figure. I really prefer matte over high gloss. Seems to show the grain better without all the reflection.

Thanks for the post. I have been looking for some new grips for my old SBH, and I think you may have made my decision...

I'm excited, I believe my wife has contacted him about a belated Valentine gift... There must be some reason she had me pull the grip frame off of my SBH...

Hopefullly, maybe she didn't want you shooting it... The grips I have received from Carl so far have been top notch and first class all the way. I have two in hand, one in his shop and three others headed his way when the timing works out.

No, it's my understanding she has mailed him the frame. Something to look forward to! Those he did for Lee sure are beautiful...

Here are my Sgt Schultz's crotch-figued walnut grips on a .45 LC Blackhawk.

The funny thing is I've got a random SBH grip frame sitting on my bench right now from a Mrs. Ammons. Hmm... Thanks for sharing the pics everyone. I look forward to it every time.
