That's a fine looking six shooter. From another fan of ole' Dave Clements.
Can't tell what kind of wood that is: holly, ivorywood, light maple maybe?

Might be one of those if they were wood.... These are African Elephant Ivory.... Which reminds me... I'd better oil those suckers today!

Thanks for sharing Axe. Who fitted those purdy Ivory grips? They look perfectly fit from what I can see in the pics.
I have made a couple of sets of grips in the last month for Ruger BH's. What I have found out is, the real talent is in the final fitting, which I did better on the second set vs the first. I am learning by my mistakes.
I can't pass up looking at pics of Clements work. I have my first custom gun with him now and have another in his rotation schedule.
I am lucky to be within driving distance of David. He is truly a very nice down to earth person. I really enjoy visiting with him.
Thanks again from Clint.

Don't remember off the top of my head... The gun came to me with the grips and documentation with the grips... This was one of those rare GA finds that looked to good to be true... After a few long telephone conversations with the owner I sent money and he sent the gun... There was a Clements 38 Special Single Six in the deal too...

In that case, those are beautiful ivories. A wonderful combination on that matte finish.

Whoever the grip maker was, it looks like he/she knew what they were doing.
It's one cool looking pistol.
