Here's another work in progress. Finally got it all back together (except for the ERH) last night. OM .357, now sporting a steel gripframe with a thin coat of cold blue, a SBH hammer, & a ROA trigger. What you don't see is the second cylinder that will be chambered for .356 GNR (or generic equivalent, since I don't want ".356 GNR" laser engraved on any part of my gun). kings6 - this is the one that brass grip frame and ERH came off of a while back. Pvt. Schultz - this is one of the two I want the antique paper Micarta phenolic laminate on that we talked about many moons back.

You're going to have to buy a bigger safe John! ;D Now here is a question for you. Will all the customs/modified/one-off guns you're doing, what is the driving idea behind them? Is each gun a stand alone piece or is each one part of a larger overall theme?

Nice! I sure like the balance improvement offered by a steel grip frame.

Now here is a question for you. Will all the customs/modified/one-off guns you're doing, what is the driving idea behind them? Is each gun a stand alone piece or is each one part of a larger overall theme? My overall theme is/was to have a single action in every caliber (not chambering). Nearly there. This is the only .357 magnum I own. The .38 special single six will join it for caliber, but I really want to try out the .356 GNR as well. It's also one of my two OM Rugers (the other is the abused .45) that will done as a set. The second part of my theme is to amass a nice collection of guns before I end up having to get these purchases okayed by a wife. Still looking for her.

Should be a nice conversion. 356s are pretty hot.....if you've never shot a GNR or a 357 B&D, I think you'll like the noise and muzzle flash. They're a blast to shoot (pun intended). -Lee www.singleactions.com

Aggie01, That 356 GNR on the Med. frame will make for an interesting gun. You should be able to push a 180 gr. at a decent speed without hitting dangerous pressures. I cant wait to see and here how it comes out.

I knew there was a basis for the collection contrary to what our friendly blackhole of Alabama resident claims. ;D
