How long before he gets the matched consecutive serial number gun?
These things must be relatively rare. I've never seen or touched one.

I remember when they sold right next to the Ruger, Smith & Wesson, etc., in the glass cases, they were sold under the name of Mossburg, is that correct? Very Beautiful Blue on these guns, congrats Boge!!!

Good find. Did Abilenes ever come in 41 Mag?

OK - now I've shot it, and I am IMPRESSED. This thing locks-up almost (ALMOST) like a FA, no discernible cylinder movement. B/C gap is just right. With very little adjustment, the sights were dead-on minute-of-Coke-can at 25ish yards. It's not quite as pretty as the .45 I recently bought ( singleactions.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gallery&action=display&thread=3040), but it's still a nice-looking sixgun. Not as shiny as my .45 (but still better-finished than the average Ruger), and the grips of course are not Stag. The chambers are not recessed as on my .45, which to me is mostly a matter of aesthetics - I LIKE recessed chambers. A damn nice sixgun, I'm very glad I bought it.

I've been trying to dispell the myth that Mossberg Abilenes aren't as well fit as the Riverhead version for years now. Yours sounds like a real shooter. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Good find. Did Abilenes ever come in 41 Mag? Unfortunately, the Abilene was never chambered in 41. The original US Arms formed by Sig Himmelmann & Forrest Smith in '73 cataloged a 41, but none were ever produced. -Lee www.singleactions.com
