I managed to find one in 500 Linebaugh and last week my molds arrived, Tom at Accurate Molds outdid himself again. The bisley grip really tamed the recoil of the modest loads I fired as long as I maintained a fairly snug grip, otherwise it would catch my knuckle slightly but not near as bad as my 44 special with a Ruger Bisley. I will admit it I was not real enamored with the looks until I ran a 100 or so rounds through it and I must confess after seeing/feeling how well it works I now find it one of the most attractive grips I have seen.

Love the recoil control it provides for my 500 Linebaugh version. Waiting to get the grip frame back from Chigs now. He's fitting it with a very interestingly figured set of elm burl. He's also hunting a piece of mastodon ivory big enough for the 475.

I am looking for contact info for BFR Bisley type grips. I have a 500 Linebaugh and when cleaning it. Fell off my bench and chipped the grip. God forbid I have anything nice. The factory told me it would be $400 and I would have to ship them my gun. For that kind of money I would prefer a custom maker. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chigs Grips will make you a set of grips to fit your BFR Bisley gripframe for way less than $400.

Chigs is charging me $190 for a really unique elm burl set. He quoted me $600 for Walrus Ivory on another bfr Bisley.

Here's the link to the finished product. I think they took away most of that goofy look the gun had with the micarta. I like it's look now as well as how it shoots. imgur.com/gallery/8HsUO9jStill can't get a pic to post!

The way it takes manages recoil and doesn’t ’ crack that knuckle changed my appreciation of the appearance and that wood you replaced yours with is awesome.
