Recently got this mold and am ready to start load development. I'll be using it primarily in an old model 6.5" Blackhawk. Please let me know what your favourite loads are for this bullet.

What weight version did you get?

Forgot to include that! It's the dual crimp groove 170gr solid version. I will be crimping in the bottom groove more than likely.

I have that same mold, but I’m shooting it in my 357 BFR. My loads would be too warm for your old model. In my gun, AA#9 is more accurate than W296 or 4227.

You have what is designated as the 359640. The 360640 has a single crimp groove and is lighter in weight.

My old model really likes the mp version of the 358439 on 14-15grs of H110. It's very accurate with 14.3grs so that's my main load. But having heard such good things about the 640 design I really want to try it. I have a few hundred cast and pc'd already, and a hundred lubed with lbt blue. Just waiting to hear about some favorite loads to try

I've settled on 14.7grs h110 in starline brass with cci magnum primers. Haven't had a chance to chronograph it yet, but it shoots 1-3/4" at 25yds from my old model 6-1/2", which is the best I can do.
Once it warms up some and I can get the time, I'll chronograph it and post the results. I'm also working with Heavy Pistol and Enforcer. Just haven't had much time since going back to work.
