None of these seem to be sold in any “conventional” way. The occasional downside of niche products for a niche community. I am very closely associated with Jack! I've known him intimately almost from birth, I'm sure he would sell you what you desire by pretty much any means - I think he just uses Ebay and such because so many folks demanded it, and it does make international sales a whale of a lot easier! You can PM me if you like and I can see what I can help with. As an aside, both items were written up in American Handgunner a while back - I was under the impression from the author that Paco's tool was still available?? The other tools listed work dang well to - All personal bias aside I would be glad with ANY of them.

Years ago I bought an SGB tool from I don’t remember who made it. You insert the 22 shell into it, take a flat file and knock off the nose. Tom

I've been looking for an SGB tool for a long time. They were made by a company called The Hanned Line.

Was looking at those today as well. I’m more interested in getting that extra .002 of bullet diameter than changing the nose profile (though that’s nice as well).

This is an interesting topic ! The Neal Waltz die set up seems like a good plan but a bit spendy and pretty slow, It would be cool to have a double cavity set up that uses the hammer stoke , it would never be as consistent as a die, But it would still improve accuracy, enough to make a difference for small game hunters, if you were wanting to win a match, I think the die style would be the way to go ! ...tj

I've got one of the original tools and a couple of the intermediate ones. I don't think the last ones I bought were the latest version. I remember that when I made my last order, Paco remembered me from previous orders of both tools and his books, and sent a free tool. That has been several years ago.
I haven't heard anything about Paco or his health lately. You might check

I have the Paco tools and the Waltz die. I found some rounds greatly improved accuracy. Like all things rimfire takes a lot of experimenting with a lot of different rounds. With one 10/22 of its favorite 5 rounds (out of 25 tested!) 4 were further improved. How can you not like that!?!?

I made my own Waltz die. It works good and swages most certainly improves the accuracy.

Jack Harvey, out of Lake City, MI. Goes by the username ‘Jack’ on this site. I believe he’s commented in this thread about .22 tools. I messaged him and bought directly from him, but his product is on EBay as well.

Running the Neal Waltz! Great die, added a second one, for leaving nose profile set Reeder one works well also.
