These are the two rifles I'm taking with me next week... Ruger No.1 in .458 Lott (Small Game) (Kudu/Gemsbuck/Zebra...I Hope) Ruger 77RS in .358 Winchester (Itsy Bitsy Game) (Impala and maybe Warthog & Bushpig) The Cartridges...(To be carried in Simpy Rugged Belt Loops...Thanks Rob!!!) .358 - 225gr Barnes TSX @ 2450fps .458 - 350gr Barnes TSX @ 2750fps Take Care, Stump

Here's a little taste for you. Rifle is an FN Mauser in 9.3x62 with 250 gr X's at 2650 fps. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks Guys....I'm having a hard time sleeping (I hope I'll get over it on the plane though)!!!!!! Went to the range today for the final field shooting exercises and I think as long as they post orange dots on all the animals for me, I'll be okay! ;D Rifles are cleaned and ready for final packing. Africa!?? Must be nice. I have a Winchester .458 mag. I shot me a coyote and a jackrabbit with it. It worked.

I would love to make it to the Dark Continent one day but I probably won't . If I get to go, think I'll take my Win. 1886 .45-70 for big stuff, like a cape buffalo and eland, and my .58 Hawken for everything else.
