Thanks, Mike. This is probably my grail gun - at least for now.

So did you make the knife to match the gun? Or make the gun to match your knife?

I guess that's the rig Barranti showed off recently. The entire set up is great looking. Do you care to post of pic of the revolver out of the holster?

So did you make the knife to match the gun? Or make the gun to match your knife? Well....I’d built the knife from some scrap I had laying around and it just happened that the gun came along bout the same time. So, I figured Doc needed to cut up some hide for both and it might as well match.

I guess that's the rig Barranri showed off recently. The entire set up is great looking. Do you care to post of pic of the revolver out of the holster? Sure! This post was actually a test to see if I could post pics with this new app (Tapatalk) I down loaded after reading about it here. Pretty easy and can post right from your phone. I’ll take some better pics when I get time - these are all cell phone pics...

A wonderful matchup between the gun, knife and leather. Are the gun grips made from ivory? How about the scales for the knife?

This rig was made possible by a collaboration between four members from this forum (thanks to all four for making this possible). I purchased this gun a couple years ago and promptly contacted Doc for a spot on his list. Before even handling the gun, I had it sent to Bobby Tyler to ensure proper hardness of the innards, action job, and CCH. I received the complete rig last Wednesday afternoon, just in time for a planned GA hog hunt. I got home, grabbed a few different loads and hit the bench for zeroing. The first load I tried was a 260 PC Keith bullet by Dick Thompson over 10grs of Unique. The first two shots at 50 yards looked something like this... I dialed in a little right windage and a little up elevation and called load development done for time being. The next morning I headed to east central GA. The first evening was unproductive. The next morning was in eventful until I got down from the stand at 1025. I was supposed to get picked up at 1030, so I went ahead and got down a little early to stretch my legs. Two minutes after getting down, I spotted three pigs cross a shooting lane about 150 yards away - stalk time! With a perfect wind and little persistence, I was able to christen my new TLA... The shot was facing me at about 15 yards. A standing offhand shot placed the Keith bullet at the base of the neck and it exited at groin area - pig dead at 5 sec mark.

The grip panels have the most grain character (white/cream) of any I’ve ever seen. The knife scales are a duplex of Cape buffalo/Elephant ivory.
