I was looking for some Dillon parts on ebay and saw several lighting options for a Dillon 550 reloader.
Anybody have lights on theirs and if so what sort and do they work?
I see center mounted LEDs, strips of LEDs and a "star" that lights each station on the reloader with a LED.

I have one of the center mounted led’s. Works great! Easy to get a visual on powder charge now.

I've got the led strip on a RCBS Rockchucker and a Dillon 550. Liked them so much i picked up a pigtail splitter and a 550 toolhead light so i can run them both at the same time.

I used an old adjustable elbowed desk lamp clamped to the loading bench, I was only concerned with illuminating the station after powder dump, to verify powder in the case.

I have a light system on my Dillons. I can HIGHLY recommend the following; KMS Squared. Vet owned, operated & supported. Top quality, excellent light system, that doesn't go in the middle hole. I didn't realize how much difference it would make,, until I tried it. And I truly like the method they use to mount the lights & all. Out of the way, not moving, etc.

I have the KMS Squared lights on my Co-ax press and really like them a lot! Makes a world of difference for me.

The lights from KMS Squared seem to be the best design, and are priced fairly. If you have more than one press, you can get one complete set, buy extra lights, and swap the switch button around as needed.
Top notch for sure.

reloadinginnovations.com , a friend/aquaintance makes these. Though I have to admit, I've never used one as I'd already bought my Hornady one before they started selling them. Whatever make you get, they're worth it.

Trapr THIS IS WHAT I DO BUT I LIKE CONTENDER's KMS LED INFO, I THINK I WILL ORDER 2 OF THESE, I FIGURE IT WILL SPEED UP MY LOADING CONSIDERABLY. |
