Well, as it was the only one at the dealer, I couldn't cherry-pick for a smooth trigger pull, but I added one to the list of contenders for the one to grab if I had to head for the hills with only one handgun. I will try to post a dealer's photo at the Leverguns.com forum, as posting them here eludes my understanding. Davidson's shows none in stock at their end. I don't know if they will get more, so I consider myself lucky. I missed the run of five-inchers sold through Lipsey's a number of years back, and have been searching ever since.

Very nice find! I too, would love to have one of the 5" GP-100s. As it is, a 4" stainless GP was my very first handgun purchased used, out of the newspaper when I was 18 y.o. (all legal at that time I might add!). Absolutely fantastic tool and I've done nothing to it in the 20+ years I've owned it.
Enjoy yours and post pics soon once you figure out how - it really isn't that difficult.
Max.

Ouch! This thing has the grittiest trigger pull of any GP100 I have recently handled. Usually, a bit of cycling and dry-firing makes dramatic improvements, but this one has quite a hitch in the gitalong, near the end of the DA trigger stroke. It being the only one from this run I could count on getting my hands on, well, I guess it was worth it. Now, to decide whether to stone its innards myself, or let a master handle it.
