I told Zane I was looking for some cool wood for some new shoes to go on a Bowen built .50 GI that I picked up from a fellow Forum member. Y'all have seen the revolver before. Zane sent me some photos of some koa that he had come upon recently and we decided it would be a good choice. The results are spectacular. The depth of the iridescence with the gold and copper threads running through the wood have to be seen to appreciate. Think REALLY nice quilted maple with all the colors the koa has in it. Add to the quality of the material the craftsmanship that LSCG puts into their work and the product is just sooo nice. The package comes in weighing a svelte 2.5 lbs partially due to the great big hole in that barrel! I added a photo of the cartridge in case anybody wanted to see one. I cast those hp bullets with a 325gn NOE mold and powder coated with copper powder.

Lovely gun that Id really like to shoot.

It had already moved out at that point I am pretty sure because we discussed it but I didn't get to handle that one.

I sent Zane an aluminum gripframe to do grips for that fits this gun perfectly.
