The llama's are notoriously soft. I've read though that some of the Star products are actually a good buy.
An official gun ragger through that statement out IIRC.

Is that a whitetail deer fawn hide in the background?

It's an Axis deer hide. You can't imagine how hard it is to get them to stand still while you take pictures. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) mt

Just joined, I have missed Sixgunner. It's good to see some familiar names here...
After adding a set of Hogues, Millet adjustable sights, and a badly needed trigger job, my Desert Eagle Mark VII in .44 is my favorite. I've won a few matches with it, including a some bowling pin events, and it is scary accurate. I've had it for many years, I carry it, I hunt with it, I compete with it. It's heavy, but it never fails to do what I ask of it.
This would be followed by a couple of .45's. The first is a Para P-13 I have had for years. The second is a stainless Taurus 1911 that I recently bought and am starting to really like... alot.
I have others I enjoy and carry, but right now, these three are standouts...

Centerfire would be my home gunsmithed Colt Officers Model ![](http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/SeaOx/Colt/IMG_4858.jpg) For rim-fire, I'll have to go with my Ruger MKII 10" it is one, if not the most accurate pistol I own, when I shot IHMSA it and my Anschutz Exemplar XIV were the only two .22's I ever shot 40x40 with. It will dust my Browning Silhouette every time. ![](http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/SeaOx/Ruger%20MKII/IMG_5271.jpg) Even though it's not my favorite, if I go plinkin with a bottom feeder this ones a bit more handy. MKII 6 7/8 ![](http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/SeaOx/Ruger%20MKII/IMG_4066.jpg)

I was always a Glock fan and still am, but I recently got one of the Springfield XDM's and have to say that there is a new king of the hill for me. The adjustable backstrap, loaded chamber indicator & cocked indicator (can feel without any lights on), safety trigger and backstrap, front slide serrations and Springfield has everything I can ask for in a carry/personal def gun. It shoots much better than the glock and is lighter than the sig or 1911 so I actually wear it and I work 10hr shifts. Good house gun for my wife too. Bad/Good point is the grips are a little sharp. Need an undershirt because after wearing for a short time, it begins to irritate my skin if I dont wear a Tshirt. Not necessarily my favorite auto, it is just as ugly as the glocks, but it has become my #1 go to gun.

Might have somebody do some grip modifications and take away that sharpness, you're apt to lose that v shaped set of ridges all over it but I doubt it'l chaff you

I very much like the Ruger MKII series. I used to shoot golfballs at 25 yards with mine. I have a Glock 21sf that I use as a housegun.

I have an LCP, but I've only shot it once. I wasn't really that impressed, for some reason I can't get excited over plastic
