Thought I'd post a few pics of something just a little different. I have quite a few .32 magnum guns, both H&R and Federal but I got an itch a while back to shoot some .32 S&W long revolvers. Much of this was fueled by an article by Glen Fryxell here: www.lasc.us/fryxellthe32s-wlong.htmSo scrounged up a couple and some molds and gave them a try. I still can't shoot the small frame double actions worth a hoot but they're a hoot to shoot! The guns I bought are a Model 30-1 and a S&W 1903 hand ejector target (3rd model, I frame). The 30-1 again: These revolvers can be had for a pretty decent price when compared to the other J frame S&Ws, especially the M631s Another shot of the hand ejector: These are hard to find and are spendy. This one is in great shape save the marks on the sides of the barrel. The lower price because of the blemsmade it a bargain. The sights have a LOT to be desired but they're there. These are the molds I got: Accurate 31-095M (black) which is a similar to the Keith .32 bullet. I found this one while I was looking for the real thing. The 313455 (red) which is actually the .32 caliber Keith designed bullet. I had no idea this one existed and the full wadcutter is the Accurate 31-100X bullet. These were all loaded to about 750 fps with Red Dot. All the loads showed great potential if I practice some...I think.

I AM WORKING ON BEING ABLE TO POST PICTURES ON THIS SITE, I HAVE SOME VERY NICE 32 S&W CALIBER REVOLVERS, MOSTLY COLTS, PICTURES OF WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE, INCLUDING MAYBE THE GRAIL GUN OF 32 S&W CALIBER REVOLVERS - A COLT OFFICER'S MODEL. THESE REVOLVERS ARE FUN TO SHOOT AND USUALLY ACCURATE.

Powder and lead go a long way in these 32s also.. A pound of lead makes seventy 100 grain bullets. Most days I get 3500 powder charges out of a pound of powder!

I saw the storm ahead!

Now I want a .38 S&W.
A 145gn bullet at about 750fps should do the trick on a rabbit or a grouse.
Problem with them is that you cannot shoot them in a .38 special.
Not sure why yet...

The 38 S&W is quite a bit fatter (relatively speaking) than the 38 Spl.
