Papa, I'm not trying to steal the thread, but I'd like to know more about your paradox. Thanks Frank

It's built on a 45 Colt Bisley Vaquero. It chambers 45 Colt ammo and the barrel is .429 back bored to .451. Rifling ends about 3/4 inch from the muzzle. This allows the shot, formed from 460 S&W brass, to be less interrupted or spiraled out of the barrel creating a hole in the shot pattern. Loads are 220 grains of #6 plated shot @ 800 to 900 fps with a fast powder, formed with a special die that Hamilton had RCBS make. I use a compressed felt wad over the powder and a 416 gas check turned upside down over the shot. 45 Colt load is a 255 Swc over 20 grains of 2400 for 1200fps and shoots 5 out of six rounds in 1 3/4ths group @ 25 yards. I've killed two squirrels in the tree tops with it so far. Here's some pics of the targets..... #6 shot @ 15 yards... #6 @20 yards... 255 swc @ 25 yards... Hope this helps... Holler back if you have anymore questions or call Hamilton and tell him Mike Cole sent you ;D
