Took my Freedom Arms to the range today. Super happy and I think I found my "GP Go-To" load. New Starline brass 454 Casull CCI Small Rifle Primers 23.0 grains H4227 (A Lee loading manual 30K PSI or under level III 45 Colt load) Lee 310 WFN flat base 16 BHN as best as I can tell with a Lee Hardness Tester 2 coats of thinned Lee Liquid Alox Sized to .452 Another coat of LLA Loaded to length where all area sized by the sizing die are inside the case. AKA.. deep seated.
I did not shoot for group. I tried various targets out to 50 yards, off hand standing. I was very happy. Water bottles at 50 yards are in deep stuff. If a big boar hog steps out at 50 to 70 yards; oh yeah, Im gonna have me some fun! Very, very happy with the FA!

A warm 45 Colt loading in that revolver will go right on thru any hog. Just use a stout Bullet that won’t blow apart on impact with heavy bone. Save the monster loads for Alaska and Africa
