It looked rougher than than 10 miles of muddy road when I got it. I figured I'd have to have to at least replace the barrel, but it cleaned up. I have never seen another that lead fouled. It still looks rough on the outside ,but pretty is as pretty does and she does shoot. She will stay as she is till I'm gone.

Something about something, that looks like hell on the outside but performs greatly ! Look at Willie Nelson's Guitar ! Trigger ! The Guy could buy 10 copies of any guitar he want's but that old Nylon string Martin just hits the spot for ol Willie ! ...tj

One of Willie's roadies was asked what would happen if one of the band members was to die during a tour. He mournfully said, "We would have a memorial and dedicate the next concert to him".
The same roadie was asked what would happen if Trigger was missing and he said, "The tours over ! "

Can't recall seeing another guitar that had a hole picked through it.

If i came Across a good deal on a security 6 I would jump on it. I got hooked on guns damn near 40 years ago with a lucky shot from a 6 inch security 6. Coke can at 80 yards. First time I ever shot a gun. Not the 1st shot, but the 1st time shooting. Hit it just right to. it jumped about 3 feet strait up. So did I. ...tj

Model 66 combat, this has been my carry gun for a couple years but recently picked up a Taurus .38 snubby. So will probably add this to my hunting handgun stash, or sell it, haven't decided yet.

I have a 3 inch 66-(I dont remember), I think a -6 cause it has the hole, but I am not for certain. Easily one of the top 3 most accurate 357's I own and a pure joy to carry on the fence line. First two rounds are snake shot, last 4 are 358429's over Unique. During dove season I had a dove lite in a tree right above me, about 10 feet. Decided to try the snake shot. Dove just burst into pieces and rained down. Forgot I went through my snake loads and it got hit with a hollow point 358-429 (NOE clone). Wasn't anything left to eat. Oops.
What is NOT to like about a 357? Seeing a crow sitting on the ground while feeding cattle out of the truck and thinking, "Oh goody, something to plink at!". Stick my Blackhawk out the window and fire. The side mirror directs all blast right back to my right ear. That one shot cost me about 20% of my hearing on my right side. It is a fantastic round, but be mindful about the blast. I still wont be without one.

How about .357 lever guns? I have a Marlin .357. Great little rifle for around my place. With a good 158 or 180 grain load good for deer in the woods. It’s my rifle for a few stands I have where the shots are under 75 yards. My one son likes it a lot. He’s not big on recoil.
I may pick up a Rossi and slick it up for this season. Can’t find or afford Winchester.

How about .357 lever guns? It's funny ! The 357 levers make such a fun/useful package but around here they have ALWAYS been the hardest to find. Thru all the hard to find guns and easy to find guns periods no 357 levers . Seldom a problem finding 44 and 45 levers till now . Seems like they just make a lot less of them ?

I’m going to look for a Rossi 92 .357. Should be a good woods gun.

I love 357 lever guns. I have 3 Rossi 92s and a Marlin 1894 CST
Edit - I just read 2 posts above. 357 levers are the hardest to find around here too. When I got my first 357 Rossi 92 I think it was in early 2018 when they were basically sold out everywhere and the Rossi plant was cranking out very few guns. It was just a blued 20” but an gun store about an hour away posted it on arms list, it was brand new. I screeched tire pulling out of my driveway to go buy it. It was one of the first CBC marked guns after the braztech period
The second one I found was at a gun show in Morgantown WV. It was a 16” blued braztech. In PA the background check system is their own called PICS. WV uses the national system NICS. Well NICS was down almost all day that day and I had to hang out for nearly the whole show before the check went through. I also learned you can forego the background check in WV if you have a current license to carry and NICS is down. I wish PA was like that.
