I was kind of surprised at the final price on that one. Think I’ll just leave my example of John’s work in the safe for now.

I just got an invoice and...well...let's say that gun wasn't grossly overpriced at the BIN. Although, I wouldn't have paid that for it... Just looked at the bid info on that gun. I've sold the buyer a couple nice customs previously. He's a service member stationed overseas. I dealt with his Dad getting the revolvers shipped. Heck, I don't even know if he's gotten the guns I sold him and it's been over a year. I sure hope so.... Good for him. If anybody deserves cool toys guys like him do.

And maybe a buddy bailed him out of selling it for $3000. That's an awful big "buy now" jump to get the gun.

I jumped the gun on that one. I'm a gunbroker skeptic. I should've read the whole thread... Live and learn.

It would be $5000.00 now and your base gun.

I have zero use for such a gun.
But, as I look at it, this is a truly classic revolver built by the guy who developed the caliber. In my eyes, that makes this revolver (and its twins) a true collectable that should only appreciate over the years. If I was a collector, I'd try to buy one.
Of course, with all my collector savvy, I wouldn't shoot it and would sell it the month before the price doubled.

You don’t have to only collect these great quality guns. I shoot my old (2 digit) Linebaugh built Big 5 lots! There made to be used. It is still the tightest lock up of any of my revolvers, even FA’s. Yes, it shows some holster wear, and the bluing has turned plum colored in places. Use it!

I've worn most the blue off my Seville. Fired it thousands of times. Carried it on four continents. Plan to send it back to John for the first time in 30 years for a refresher before he retires. It was built pretty plain like most his guns were back then but performed perfect through the years. Even took a cull buck this year and has hunted bear every year since new. It's taken 15 deer, 11 black bear, 1 grizzly, 1 cape buffalo, a bison, and a European Water Buffalo that was trying to get me first, plus too many pigs to remember. They're built to hunt and carry.
