Anybody have one or know anything about them? Pretty neat looking single shot!

I have three currently and all are very accurate. The Nosler handgun is well-built and is available in several popular hunting calibers. In the past, I've taken a variety of big game with 6.5 Creedmoor and shoot friendly, long range competition with the 6mm Creedmoor. I'm most pleased with these handguns and impressed with their accuracy potential.

Thanks Mark! Any recommendations on barrel length and if a brake is needed? I’m looking at a 15” sans the brake in 6.5.

They make an Independence Model -- and for the price, you can't beat it. It will come with a 15 inch barrel. Yes, you will enjoy a muzzle brake - and the 6.5 CM will be a shooter!

I have 2 of them. 6.5 Creedmoor and 308. The Creedmoor is very accurate. The 308 hasn't been shot, in fact, it's at my gunsmith getting a brake.

I been trying to talk myself into one of these for 5 months or so. Gunbrokers is currently flooded with 6.5 CM's and they are selling in the $1500 range. But after discovering they weigh about 6.5 pounds just can't talk myself into buying one. After adding a base, rings and scope it will weigh 8 pounds or so. I have scoped rifles that weigh less. If only they could knock the weight down to about 4.5 pounds.

Cutting weight off of this particular bolt-action to 4.5 pounds would be quite a challenge. My scoped, 10 inch Freedom Arms weighs right at 4.5 lbs and I appreciate the weight -- just as I welcome the weight on the Nolser. For me, I am able to shoot a heavier gun much more accurately than I can a pencil-barrel, light weight version.

The stock weighs basically nothing in the hand when separated from the action. It's a standard Model 7 clone- not beefed up anywhere. Skinny 7mm barrel, fluted. Harder to shoot for sure, but shootable. I'm with you, I'm not carrying an 8lb rifle much less an 8 lb pistol. Give me a FA97 and a lightweight specialty pistol that combined weigh less than 8 lbs. I do have a Nolser M48 rifle and from my experience and what I know of the manufacturing, they're a great value and a great action. At least you don't have to factor in quality concerns with the Independence pistol, only configuration requirements.

I didn't realize they were that heavy but they do look pretty big.
