Is there any resource work on american made single shot shotguns? With so many different manufacturers it seems there should be a guide.

I agree, I'd also like to see a book on the numerous small bore center and rimfire single shot sporting rifles.

You know, it seems like someone would have done one, although, as many different single shot shotguns as there were, it would be a vary big book. Here is my great grandfathers Essex 16 gauge. Trust me, at 5 pounds, it will stomp you. Bill

Thats a nice long tom there, wick. My Grandpa bought a winchester 37 in 16 gauge and that was the only shotgun he ever hunted with. Great grandpa had a '97 winchester in 12 gauge, and neither of them trusted or would use plastic shells. There was at least a box and a half of paper shells in 16 on the dash of grandpas truck at all times.
