I'll add another - 6 grs of Green Dot and my 240 gr LFN goes 900 fps. Easy on the gun and groups tight. Up it to 7 grs with the Magnum for 1,000 fps. -Lee www.singleactions.com "Chasing perfection five shots at a time" And load 1000 rounds with a pound of powder...

How well does Green Dot meter? I like 2400 & Unique in my .41 Mag's, but hate how Unique meters.

Just tap the measure a couple times after the drop stroke AND visually inspect. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Good question, it's 4.25". Gun was originally a 7.5" and I sent it back for the shorter, factory-length barrel, thanks for the correction.

What I can't quite understand is why when one sends back an existing gun to have the barrel shortened , do they charge more for a "non-standard" length...

Only guess I would have at that is fixtures or programming set up for standard lengths and anything off of that requires re-setting equipment or program??
When FA did mine it was a standard replacement and they sent back the 7.5".
