While doing a little research on the history of octagon barrels, I ran across this little gem amongst a wonderful bit of online discussion. As a kid I devoured every bit of narrated edutainment I could find (think Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom). So for me, this is pure comfort food...

Awesome video. I live in Williamsburg, about 5 mins from where this was filmed, and go down to colonial Williamsburg all the time. The old armory has some cool old flintlocks and cannons.
