The state I live in is backward. For some reason we can't hunt with semi-auto handguns.............

I'm kinda digging it for some reason! Model 22 set up for +P ammo. 6" Min Spec chamber, 22lbs captive spring on a SS guide rod, trigger set at 2lbs, 2X scope, frame squared, titanium plunger and more I can't remember at the moment. 2.5" groups at 100 yards. 180grs XTP a bit over 1200fps. This deer was shot at 71 yards. The 6" tube makes a huge difference in velocity on these guns. Now the bad: the scope mount just unnerves me. I am probably getting a Carver. It shot great but I didn't trust it enough to keep it on the gun. The Carver is much more stable.

I have killed several more with Glocks. They just work. Not giving up my wheel guns for them though.

The state I live in is backward. For some reason we can't hunt with semi-auto handguns............. There are a few like that. Others won't let you use any bullet that doesn't expand. Guess they never saw what a .475 WFN bullet does on its way through a critter. I wish there was more common sense involved in handgun hunting laws.

NEVER,EVER TRY TO ASSIGN LOGIC TGO GOVERNMENT!! True! Tn used to have restrictions on big game hunting with handguns that you must have a 4" barrel and a minimum of .24 bore size. By that logic a 3" barrel .44 Magnum was illegal and a .25 ACP with a 4" barrel was fine. They finally got some schooling by a real handgun hunter. Problem solved but only when they brought in a non-government party to help them.

I was told that the .357 Sig isn't allowed in some states that allow auto's. They require a minimum bore diameter of .357" Since the .357 Sig is actually .355 it is a no no. No deer shot with mine has taken a step. It seems deer don't know it is .002" too small. lol

My state has minimum case length regulations which disqualifies most autoloaders. When they first allowed handgun deer hunting, I bought my 5 1/2” 41 mag bisley to use. The next year they put a minimum barrel length of 5 3/4”. I still use it, and have never had a problem.
