I had one on a 2 3/4" M69 (L Frame .44 Mag). Nice low profile. The one I have only has one screw holding it in the rear sight channel and the rear lug had a gap between it and the sight cut out. So, as far as I could tell, that one screw was all that held the base under recoil. Never felt real comfortable that it would hold up under .44 Mag Recoil. With 357 (or .22) it might work fine. I've settled on the Raptor Engineering Base - sturdy, well made, low profile and excellent customer service. Looks like they have been impacted by the CA fires so don't know about availability. www.raptor-eng.com/Here's the Weigand Mini base -- it's noticeably higher than the two above: FWIW, Paul

I noticed the EGW base was only held on by one screw. Would hate to have that fail, and have the RMR sight get lost in the brush.

I also have a Raptor mount on my 610 S&W low profile with the Burris FF3.
