Greg, just teasing, and I'm feeling much better. I might even shoot some of the small calibers today if I can get one of the grandson's to go with me & pick up brass, etc. I know that you, Huey, Ed M. (Boxhead) Robb, RJM & several others including the #1 enabler, John Taffin have been at this game a long time. If you've got them then you earned them! I've got an cow elk tag for next month & if they don't get me off this 5 lb weight limit I'll be shooting it with a Red Ryder & reduced loads.

That's basically what my .327/.32-20 conversion is. It wears a .22 Jet barrel that has been rebored and a rechambered M17 cylinder.
With the Model 17 cylinder shorter than the Model 53 cylinders how did the smith deal with the flash gap? Did he mill the barrel shroud so he could get some more turns to screw the barrel in further? Bob

Bob
Ya' now, that's a very good question. I can't imagine them milling off the barrel and the ejector rod housing to set the barrel back. I just measured my L frame cylinder and it's the same length as the K22 cylinder. With a SA barrel it would be easy. Maybe somebody smarter than me can answer how you set back a S&W barrel. David?
