Wax bullets. Melt Paraffine wax in a pan about 3/8 to 1/2 thick and let cool to body temp. Then take primed cases and cookie cutter them into the pan . After shooting the plugs get remelted back into the pan . Stuff will last a long time.
Drilling primer pockets never worked for me , always backed out making revolvers a pain to shoot them with. But single loaded in a 1911 or a contender ,,,O Yeah.
They come out fast enough to leave a nice ,classic mushroom shaped slug.

I am sure I am not the only one that used the appropriate sized gas check to make shotshells. The powder charge then one gas check with the cup up, then the shot than a final gas check either cup up or down and a crimp.
