I'm working on a NMSBH 44 Magnum conversion to a Bisley gripframe. I fitted the gripframe, and installed the hammer and trigger. Everything went back together pretty well except that the cylinder latch doesn't seem to drop far enough to allow the cylinder to rotate when cocking the gun. When the loading gate is open, the latch drops and the cylinder rotates freely.
What have I missed?

Sounds like the spring for the cylinder bolt (latch). The pin that sticks out of the bolt stop might not be contacting the spring properly?

Good guess but it turns out it was a miniscule difference in the hammer plunger length. Like to frustrated me though... Thanks for the input. Mark

Thanks. That's a Stroh front sight. Rather pleased with the way it turned out. Note the roll printing was also removed from the barrel while I was at it. A little more cleaning up and hopefully get to shoot a little this weekend.
