I am glad I am out of Alberta. I too like snow but not the brutal cold. This summer I suspect I will wish to be in Alberta again.

I don't like the cold either. I got up this morning and actually had to turn the heat on and let it cycle once to get the chill out of the house. You may have guessed that I live in California, the place that everyone takes cheap shots at and says is full of nothing but nut cases.
I just love to see all those people crying about the cold that's hitting all over the eastern side of the country. It's kind of a payback for me when they keep saying that California and all of us in it should drop off into the Pacific Ocean. I never rag on any of the other states but they feel free to take cheap shots at me. I do feel kind of sorry for them though when it causes them power outages as well. That extreme cold is no time to be without power.
I must admit though that the people in this forum seem to have better manners than some of the people in the other forum that I used to hang out on. I do thank you guys for that.

I'd trade all the snow we're getting for sub-zero temps. We got 28" over the weekend and another 12" will hit tonight. Not much for some of you guys out west, but anything over 8" cripples the DC-Metro area. -Lee www.singleactions.com"

I talked to my son in DC the other day, apparently there was on hellacious snowball fight!

rkrcpa, I remember when I was moving to PA a friend of mine told me that PA road department has an attitude about snow. God put it there, God will take it away. ;D

Its actually been chilly here, in Texas. Haven't had our usual 58-72 degree winter, as the temps seem to hover around 40 in the daytime and down in the upper 20s low 30s at night. Even a had a skiff of snow this year. Must be the global warming. Stay warm back east, guys. As a former midwesterner, I feel your pain... heh heh heh...

Texas is too big, I'd love to have your weather Hoss. Down in my little part, we hit 56 F today. That's the equivalent of an Arctic freeze!

While my family is now in the Texas Hill Country seeing colder than normal temps I am in the Middle East still seeing the low 80's, none of us miss the southern Alberta winters we endured for the prior 5 years. That said we all agree that we miss or north Idaho mountain home this winter....
