My son Tucker shot this one with a 17 Remington and his own reloads with a Contender Carbine. The tree trunk was 222 yards and the crow was near the top on our side.

Nice shooting!
I really like making little puffs of feathers.

Shoot one of them with a 45-70 one day (it was the gun in my hand at the time) if you want to see a really big puff of feathers, and not have to pick up pieces of crow.

That is great. I have to wait until July 1st for our crow season and then it is only on Friday, Saturday and Mondays( no Sunday hunting in Massachusetts).
I bet if you set up an owl decoy you could have some fun.

Thanks guys. He was using the hitching post about five feet from the loading shop door. We shoot a pecan grove near a target backstop all the time.

Yes they are, I've been meaning to get one mounted, but there's never enough left of the mafter hitting them with the guns that always seem to be in my hand when I see one to even try
