Nice gun! Is it a 30 carbine cylinder rechamber?

That's what Hamilton typically did but I was wanting it to be a custom cylinder.
Need to check the serial number but maybe not...as it's gone...
My medium frame .32-20 conversion he did is super nice.

I assumed if it was a custom cylinder the case heads would be recessed, but who knows. After adding up the total for my last Bowen, crazy as it is, the price on this one didn't seem so bad

Beautiful gun and worth what the buyer paid for it. With the number of artists doing this type of work rapidly decreasing one has to wonder what prices will be like in the future once something like this can not be replicated. I am thankful I have the few safe occupants I do have from some of the men no longer working. Fermin's 32-20 old model bisley I snuck away from him is so darn accurate it is scary! The jury is still out on the skeletized low spur hammer but it is too late to have David change it now.

Yeah, that one is beautiful. The price made me wince though, but it sells for what someone pays.

The same seller has another Bowen custom for sale, although it's significantly more expensive. I did notice one thing about that seller though; he lists one gun as New Old Stock, then goes on to say that it has only been fired 21 times since leaving the factory. Maybe I'm being overly critical, but a gun that's been fired (regardless of how many times) is NOT New Old Stock. It's at best, 'Used, Like New.'

No more Fishpaw grips and no more ivory for many of us and considering what a new one would cost it wasn't a bad price at all. It has gotten really easy to drop $5K on a build without even getting to the grips.

Would prefer not to have to go there.
