Was running more test loads through my OM 357 that Matt at Tyler Gun Works converted into a 45 Auto Rim & had some interesting results today. I had made up a few loads using the Miha 205 gr RN HP using both Unique & Longshot along with my more proven load of the Miha 223 gr SWC HP using Longshot. Don't use any of these loads in your gun, none are published loads, always work up your own loads in YOUR gun! You will see that one target only has 3 shots, I had two rounds that wouldn't chamber, I think it was because of my crimp. Anyway the load shows promise & I'll run it again for sure. What surprised me was the 223 gr SWC at 50 yds, it was the first time I had shot any loads at 50 yds & I was very happy with the results. Both of the black targets you see already had 3 smaller bullets holes in them, looked like maybe a 30 caliber rifle. The first time I shot the top target I was cross firing from another bench, the second time I moved over & was more in line with the bottom black target. I was very happy with both targets. The first little berm is at 25 yds where I had my target. This 223 gr SWC HP is going to be a dandy bullet for deer this fall.
Which target is the MP 223 SWC HP and the Longshot?
I had Bowen do an 45AR cylinder for the .44 flat top conversion I had him do to .45 Colt. I haven't even shot the AR cylinder. Looks like I really should give it a try.

Bushog, yesterday I didn't shoot the 223 gr HP with Longshot, just Unique. The velocity with that bullet & 7.5 grs of Unique was 1108 fps, surprised me! Ramar, yes, it was just seating depth, corrected it when I got home. Today I went back to the range & it was very, very hot, at least for us. The range was a little busy so I didn't shoot on paper but I did pick out some weeds above the 300 yd berm. I ask a buddy to spot for me & loaded 5 rounds of the 223 gr HP's for a test drive. I have a little bit of the front sight painted as usual. The bit of paint is very important for me. First, it allows me some contrast for these old eyes, but also it acts as a second, long range sight & I've done it forever. Sometimes I add more paint, sometimes I take some off but I never paint very much of that front sight. You have to experiment with it to see where it's zeroed. Just to get started I held the bottom of the paint at 6 O'clock on weeds which were about the size of a deer. The shot hit about 6-8 feet low but centered. When you do that if you know your gun & load you should be pretty darn close with the rest of your shots. I adjusted a bit & 3 of the next 4 shots were probably hits on a deer size animal, or at least very close. This gun really shoots!
Aaaahhh....now I've got it. I've got My "Dick's Loads file that I needed to add it to.
I was trying to figure out what bullets these are.
What are the mold numbers?
Thanks !!!!

bushog, Matt, at Tyler Gun Works shot some amazing groups with both my gun & Mike Barranti's using H110 & the Lyman Keith #452423 AR design. Matt is really a good shooter & he built 2 excellent six guns. I've shot of bunch of those bullets through my gun but mostly with Longshot, I need to try both Unique & H110 but I'm having too much fun. Both of the other 2 bullets are from Miha molds, I'll have to get you the numbers, can't remember. Tonight, just before dark I went to the range & pulled up the plate rack & relaxed at about 40 yds, it's just easy with this gun to take them down using 7.5 grs of Unique & that 223 gr SWC HP, yikes! Stevie Wonder could do it! OK, the 205 gr RN HP is 454 200 from a Miha mold.
