I'd started a thread when Jack agreed to build this gun. There have been some delays that happen to us all. But, the final product is rewarding.
Craig will be posting pictures soon, but first some details.
Sticking with my love for the old nostalgic cartridges hasn't stopped with full sized guns.
Jack and John (Our own FlyingZebra) knocked both my 25-20 (First) and now this 218 Bee out of the park.
Base gun was a Single Seven. Final product is effectively a Single Five. Barrel is 7.5" and the rest of the gun speaks for itself.
There are so many middle of the road cartridges for revolvers. From the 357 Magnum to the 45 Colt nearly dominate the market.
For decades gunsmiths have catered to the big bore and Magnum Lovers. We do have Ruger to thank for the great 327 Federal and 480 Ruger. Those two have broadened the field for factory guns. Magnum Research has made the big magnums affordable for the working man. They truly deserve a big thanks from all of us.
But, the smallbores have been neglected.
I'm not sure where my stopping point will be. But, with any luck it'll be with a eulogy...

That’s a good looking revolver it’s clean in all the right places but has touches to give it a nuance. Really enjoy seeing pieces jack has worked over. Especially small bore projects.

Very cool, I'm enjoying smallbores more and more. Looking forward to a range report and Mr. Taffin's book on them.

Thanks for the opportunity to have this project at the shop, and thanks for being so patient with us while you waited.
These small bore hotrods have been an inspiration. In some ways they're more demanding than the medium and big bore guns. They're definitely as much fun or more than the big stompers. I'll be making something up for myself when I can get the time, and I suspect that it will get a lot of time out in my hills.
Those grips look great! What kind of holster will you be using?

I'm officially the most boring holster forum member. Have a black nylon from Uncle Mike's.

Who did the grips? Love them!! They're just a factory offering from Badger Grips. They offer a monogram for $40 extra. Supposed to be your initials. But, I just couldn't resist Bee instead. Laminate wood is Green Hornet. Close enough to a Bee for me.
