As I lamented elsewhere, I had a devil of a time getting this'un back together. The RB grip was kinda fat and heavy, so... I found an ebay fixxer upper, and swapped 'em. And then I swished out to the garage and grabbed these here sissy stocks... I like 'em!

Wow! jcn, I really dig the partial round butt and lanyard! Did you grind it yourself, or was that part of a 'smiths package? Very cool! (I bought that pearl grip because I wanted one for my Hawes "Deputy Texas Marshal" nickeled colt scout clone... it was the first pistol I bought and my MOM insisted I get the walnut stocks (Jay Scott #26A) that didn't fit as well....didn't realize this one was Jay Scotts take on black lip pearl. It looked ok on a blued frame, but on the polished one it seems to pop.)

Had the shop add some aluminum weld, then ground the grip per pic. Not rocket science. The lanyard ring started life as QD sling stud, then I added a hardware store ring. Fun project. The pearls were broken AJAX. They wouldn't replace them. No wonder they are out of business. I recut them to fit the original short factory grip on the Vaquero.
