IMHO, this reminds me of the vibra-etched “engraving” we see on revolvers from time to time ... well intentioned bad taste (again, just my taste).

Worst thing in my mind is the total misrepresentation of what it is. It is not nor ever has been a Legendary Lawmen carbine. I have seen much worse looking guns, but it aint a LL. I emailed him and tried to nicely enlighten him but no change and no reply.

I'm just not understanding the wood to metal fit at all.

Its an old, beat carbine being pawned off by the seller as Commemorative Legendary Lawmen which it isn't and never was. The wood to metal fit is understandable due to its obvious vintage.

Yeah, that one has water damage to wood and metal, thus the lower price of it. And yes, its the real thing. There are a few around GB and elsewhere. They usually run between $850 and $1300.

Yeah, me and no doubt several others, LOL. I guess I was one of the rude trolls. Honestly all a seller has to do if not sure is look around the site and compare. There are a couple other LL carbines there and its pretty obvious what he has isn't the same thing, but some guys cant be told anything.

Is there a mechanism to report fraud to Gunbroker?

It seems Gunbroker tends to protect the Sellers more than the buyers. I've turned in complaints to no avail.
Ebay will sometimes reply and even send an email or two. I have never found GB helpful in that regard.
GB is what it is. Nothing seems to impact it. Still, they are one of the better games in town. The feedback can tell you a lot. I've done quite a few buys through them with excellent success. Their "Completed Auctions" search is very helpful.
Armlist.com is the scary one. I get about 25% scams through them. Always look up the picture with Google Images. I call to talk.
Buyer Beware. Due diligence.

I was thinking... if he knew enough to know about that model and what it was, how did he not know enough to know that wasn't really one?? lol But then I thought about it, things I've done, things I've bought, where I knew JUST ENOUGH to know more than most people, where I knew just enough to get me into trouble... but not enough to know I shouldn't do it.

Believe it or not that worn out junker just sold for $855!! Even with the disclaimer. Guess some guys cant read or know even less than the seller did before he got enlightened.
