Old Colt HBAR

Recently got this in a trade. 1988 Colt HBAR. The one thing that stuck out is this odd camo job. By a company called Z-COTE..... Colt made 250 HBAR’s with this camo. Anyone more knowledgeable have anything they can tell me about it? Thanks

A good friend bought one years ago with the heavy stainless barrel. Extremely high quality and super accurate gun. I'd say this was a score...

Thanks. I was hoping someone would know a bit about the whole Colt/Z-Cote collaboration. One gentleman I know looked at it and said he had seen pictures of them but had never physically seen one in person......

ARF.com is the place to ask about that.  That or a Colt collector's forum.  I vaguely recall the whole Z-Cote thing, but I don't remember any details.

I have not seen an AR with that pattern before, but I do have an M14 stock with a very similar camo pattern. Its called I believe Vietnam tiger stripe.
