With the virus thing going I have not been looking to buy another gun but instead, several sets of interesting grips have popped up for sale. I shared pictures of the recent finds of Roper style grips by Keith Brown but lately light colored grips have been found wandering in search of a new home. Bushog let me talk him out of a set of Dall sheep bisley grips made by Roy Fishpaw, Jussbad on the Ruger Forum sent a set of what appear to be Dall grips on an old model grip frame then just last week I stumbled onto another set of bisley grips made out of giraffe bone. I have seen pictures of some very nice giraffe bone grips made by Nutmeg Sports but this was the first set I saw come up for sale. When they were listed they were on a nice blued bisley grip frame but unfortunately, another person offered to buy the grip frame so all I could snag were the grips themselves. The seller was nice enough to see if the other guy would let me have the frame as well and make a few dollars in the deal but no such luck. I really like the giraffe bisley grips and they remind me of a nice set of two tone ivories I have on one of my guns. I may have to order something from Ronnie just to have something to mount them on. Unfortunately there are no stock bisley s in the safe to fit either of these sets to so I may have to look for something in the near future. Top are the Fishpaw Dall grips, in the middle is the sheep horn grips, I think Dall as well, from Gary and the bottom ones are the giraffe bone. Here is a closer picture of the giraffe bone grips.

Love the grips, all of them! How heavy are the giraffe bone compared to the Dall sheep rips? Giraffe is a very dense bone and makes very nice custom knife scales. They would look good on a knife from Kim to compliment your new Bisley.

Nice score on those Fishpaws, they look fantastic. Can't wait to see what you find to put them on!

I almost bought a giraffe bone off of Gunbroker but wasn't sure if it was thick enough for a set of stocks. Looking back I should have done it anyway as I love the look of them, stained or left natural color.
Great finds Robb!
