Here's the guys recipe, he listed it. Anyone putting this much 110 behind a 300?
It is loaded with the Saeco 300 grain Keith style gas checked bullet on 22 grain of H-110 powder with a CCI magnum LP primer.

Thats actually the start of a pretty good load. I shot that load many many times, minus the gas check.

I've used 23.0 grs with a 335 WFN and 340 LFN. The load listed above is perfectly safe in "Ruger Only" strength guns. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

pretty sure Buffalo Bore is doing at least that much behind a 325.

I run 21.5-22 under a 355gr WFN for 1200fps in BisHunter. 19 gr LilGun does the same though. Ruger Only loads!

One of my most accurate loads is a 345 RFN GC over 22 gr of 296. I went up to 23.5, but 22.0 was the sweet spot.

Hodgdon's site shows 21.8 g being the start load with the 300 g Speer JFP, so 22.0 should be good to go. Of course seating depth, bullet diameter and jacket thickness all have some effect on the start pressure, but in general I believe cast bullets can take a few tenths more for the same pressure with higher velocities.

I shoot 23 and 24gr H110 behind a deep seated 350gr WFNGC in a SBH Bisley 454. I can’t believe those are ruger only 45 colt loads

My go-to load is a 300gr LFNGC with 22gr H110, great load. Accurate in both of my Ruger large frame BH & Vaquero .45 colts.
Empty cases fall from the cylinder with little or no help form the ER.

I've found 22 gr of 4227 under the 300 gr truncated cone coated bullet to be a very accurate load, too.

One of my most accurate loads is a 300 grain LFNGC, 23 grains of H110, and a CCI350 out of a 5 1/2" RBH Bisley. There's recoil but it's not bad and the bullets like to land close to each other. I've been higher, but it wasn't any more accurate so 23 it is.

Yep, with a 340 I run 22.5, but prefer 18.5 w/2400 for my most accurate with the 340's, with my 250's 26.5 with H-110, both never an issue.
