I had never heard of the 33 WCF. Thanks for the story and the pics! Load data dot com has quite a bit of information on that cartridge. I have a fantastic "flying trashcan" mold for my 338-06 if you would like to try some cast bullets.

Those are neat rifles. My late dad was always a huge fan of the 86 and the 71. I ended up for a time with an 86 just like yours, also in .33 Win. I no longer have it but still admire them, and the .33 Win. My tastes these days run more towards the '95 Win. Enjoy the rifle!
