Called a couple of dealers today looking for a 5 inch Bisley BFR in 500 Linebaugh. Both dealers told me they were no longer being produced as a factory offering. If I wanted one would have to order one from the Magnum Research custom shop. Can anyone confirm, or deny?

Buds has the 7.5" not Bisley version, which isn't what you're after but that's the only one I've seen.

I just spoke with Brett, who builds a majority of their revolvers and he said they are selling well. They have not been discontinued.

Thanks Whit, Maybe I got a case of "since we don't have it lets try to sell him something else" Was just going thru my reloading bench and found a couple hundred of bullets for my last JRH and S&W 500. This has caused me to rethink it and decided to go with another JRH.

Yes they are selling well I have been waiting on a 5.5 for a couple months. Thought I had it when I got call last week but they sent a 500 jrh instead of a 500 Limbaugh. Lmao. So I guess the wait starts over .lol

I been emailing the Custom Shop as I am considering ordering one. Was just informed it’s approximately a 6 month wait.

I have already got 5.5 500 jrh. I have the 500 linbaugh 5.5 and a 480/475 6.5 on order. As soon as my brother in law buys my 480 ruger 4 5/8 barreled ruger next week I am going to order me a one in 460 s&w with 7 1/2 barrel. Been saving a long long time for all these. Lot of side work. Lol

If the S&W 500 would of been on the market before the 500 Linebaugh the Linebaugh would of never been invented. Simply no reason for the odd ball bullet diameter.

I have several of both. 500 S&W’s would go long before the Linebaugh’s. Linebaugh can be had in a smaller frame. That said, the 500 JRH is a real sweet spot for me. Course I like them all.
