Howdy, Was puttering around on YouTube this morning and saw an old NRA video featuring Bill Jordan that you might find fun to watch. Pretty damn good at hip shooting I must say! m.youtube.com/watch?v=q3YUqn2c8ssJDre

I haven't opened the link,,, but I recall Bill. A quiet, yet impressive gentleman. He is often overlooked by many when writers are discussed. But his gun handling skills were EXCELLENT. I always enjoyed the banter between him & Skeeter in ST,, way back when,,,,!

I met Bill Jordon on an airplane. We were both headed to an SCI Convention in Las Vegas. He greeted me and talked with me as though I was a long-lost friend of many years, and was soft spoken and kind. At 6' 6", he was a giant of a man, and in more ways than one. He died a few months after we met.

Introduced chronograph maestro Ken Oehler to the proper way to eat the fantastic fruitcake made by Ken Oehler’s mother. Serve the fruitcake in a bowl. Pop the cork on a bottle of Wild Turkey... pour booze on fruitcake until it forms an appropriate pool. Eat with spoon. David Bradshaw

Met him once at the SHOT Show in Dallas about 1983. Was riding down the escalator and turned around for some reason and was staining at a belt buckle...and I'm 6'2". Looked UP and it was Bill. Got to talk to him for about 5 minutes... Besides his soft spoken manner what impressed me were his hands...he would put Michael Jordan to shame... They simply swallowed mine.
Always enjoyed his articles. Have a signed copy of his book that I got long before I was a LEO...
