I got word that David Clements had a unique dedicated optics ready 41 he had built that might be available. I contacted him and he got back to me with some details on the gun as well as a new model flat top conversion he has in 41 Special. Both guns are stainless and wear bisley spurred hammers and the optics gun features a tapered octagon barrel and a custom built scope mount set up with triple rings and a scope.
Fortunately for me I kind of have those bases covered in the meager herd but I told him I would pass the word along. With David scaling back his work load it would be an excellent opportunity to pick up a couple examples of his work that he himself claim are among the best guns he has done.
Just a heads up if anyone is looking to add a Clements custom to their collection while they still can.

He is supposed to send me links when he posts those guns on his website. I'll link them here.
I've said it before and will repeat that he is revolver smith #1.
Anyone who buys these will own the finest 41s available on Earth.

They are nice!
I'm loving that bipod...
Bet that scoped one will shoot and would guess it's killed a deer.

David built that base to be perfectly parallel with the bore. It's probably one of a kind.
He just finished me two new ones. A 38-40/10mm and a 44-40/44 Magnum. Both are equipped for included scope bases. They are coming home with sights, but wanted properly fit scope bases just in case I need them later. He told me these were the end of his scope base installations.

I talked to David yesterday. I was interested but cooled somewhat when he said it had a 5 1/2" barrel.

The .41 special is super nice. It exceeds expectations.
This is the second gun I've bought that David built for himself and you can tell.
Now I need a Bowen white outline rear sight.
