One cool thing about these is that MOST of the user-serviceable parts in these revolvers, regardless of chambering, are compatible over a 50+ year history, and what changes HAVE been made were few and minor.

With the exception of removing the cylinder from the crane they are very similar. I built a block and jig to hold the cylinder for the old models that made an easy job of pulling the crane and cylinder apart. You clamp the cylinder in the block, press a piece of 1/4" tubing down to push the sleeve until the window lined up to remove the pin. It was like having an extra set of hands. peteb should have a nice little serviceable gun when he is done.
