The barrel band has, apart from the optics, the anchor point for the ERH and the interchangeable front sight, another job: the long screw is used as a bumpstop for the ER,so that it does not damage the ERH due to the inertia of the ER due to the recoil. Furthermore, the screw is made of tungsten, it deserves as an additional weight.

Haha, i emigrate to america if excessive gun laws or even gun bans should come into force here.
